During an interview with Disney Channel CEO, the CEO stated that plans for a live-action Spiderman tv show were is in developement. The Ceo stated,
"Spiderman is one of Marvel's greatest superheroes and Disney Channel would be a great home for him. We've already cast many actors. Our very own Zach Efron is to play Peter Parker, and we're really looking forward to the show". Disney Channel was later slammed for the proposed action sequences in the new show. Disney later decided to limit down the action sequences, and to have them be brief and non-graphic. Zach Efron also stated that the action sequences were cut due to parents complaining of exposing their children to voilence. He also stated that the show will be a comedy with few action sequences in order to keep the PG rating More controversy hit the to-be show when parents complained of spiders being too creepy after numberous kids(ages 10 and under) got scared of spiders. A representative for Marvel comics said to the rabid fans "Don't worry, the show will stick to the comics. Disney knows what they are doing". The show is slated for August 3rd, 2010
